The lodge meets each Thursday at 7:30 PM  The lodge did own a building in downtown Martinsville.  Recently they sold the building, but rent space on the third floor where they continue to meet.  The lodge also owns property in a rural area  They share their building with Martinsville Temple of the Pythian Sisters and a DOKKes Tempe.

¨           Patrick Henry Lodge #82  held it’s annual picnic at the Pythian property and presented the Pythian of the Year Award. The members vote on the award and the results came in as a tie. Richard Reffet, Sr. and Sam Hale were presented a plaque for Pythian of the year 2007.   The picnic was sponsored by the Dramatic Order Knights of Khorrasan and was attended by almost 100 people.

¨         This spring and summer the Lodge has had several projects and made donations to local organizations. They sponsored a hole at a golf tournament put on by the Oak Level Ruritans and a hole at the Mike Wilson Memorial tournament held in October. Tommy Fain presented a scholarship of $300 to Carrie Clark. 

¨         Cody Draper was given an Eagle Scout patch with the Pythian emblem on it. Cody is the son of Ken Draper, a member of PH #82. PGC Billy Rotenberry presented an Eagle patch to Brett Bayless at another ceremony.

¨         Mike Thornton was  appointed to be Supreme Deputy Chancellor for Virginia, which is a two-year term.

¨         Thomas H. Padgett recently received his 50 year life time membership award.

¨         Pythian of the month: for May-Wayne Bennett, June- Nick Kraska, July- David Isley , August- Robert Lackey, September  - Billy Rotenberry, Mike Spears and Johnny Johnson.

¨         Wayne Bennett hurt his knee and was unable to attend the Grand Convention.  He will have surgery on his knee in late November. Randy Ashworth is having some test done on his heart. Yvonne Thornton has been in the hospital and is recovering at home.

¨         The Lodge lost a 50-year member and PC recently when Jesse Wade died. He will be missed.

¨          Christmas dinner will be held at the Lodge at 6:00 PM on Dec. 7th .

¨          PH #82 four new candidates and are in the planning stages to get the rank work done.
